IndyCar rescheduled the conclusion for Sunday morning at 8:00 a.m. local time, with a hard stop scheduled for 9:25 a.m. to allow teams time to repair cars, adjust setups, and prepare for the second race of the doubleheader.

Pato O’Ward started on the pole position and lost the early lead to Felix Rosenqvist before reclaiming the top spot during green-flag pit stops. Palou currently sits behind Kyle Kirkwood in the running order as the field freezes for the overnight delay. Kirkwood’s positioning on track keeps him mathematically in contention to prevent Palou from securing his fifth IndyCar championship during the opening Milwaukee event.
