Infinix XPAD Edge: A Productivity-Focused Tablet Debuts in the Philippines

Infinix has launched the XPAD Edge, its first 13.2-inch tablet, targeting users seeking a portable, large-screen experience for productivity and creative tasks. The device aims to bridge the gap between smartphones and laptops, offering a PC-like workflow in a more mobile form factor.

Design and Display

The XPAD Edge features a 13.2-inch FHD+ display with a 3:2 aspect ratio, providing more vertical screen real estate for documents and presentations. It boasts an ultra-slim metallic body, measuring just 6.19mm thick, and weighs 588 grams. The display is TÜV Rheinland certified, filtering up to 70 percent of blue light to reduce eye strain during prolonged use. The tablet is available in a “Celestial Ink” finish.

Performance and Connectivity

Powered by an 8,000mAh battery, the XPAD Edge supports all-scenario 4G connectivity for consistent access on the go. It offers 4G/3G/2G connectivity with a wide range of supported bands, including 2G (B2|3|5|8), 3G (B1|2|4|5|8), and 4G (B1|2|3|4|5|7|8|12|13|17|20|25|26|28|38|41(Full)|40|66).

Productivity Features

Infinix is positioning the XPAD Edge as a productivity powerhouse. It comes pre-installed with WPS Office and supports split-screen mode, Parallel Windows, and drag-and-drop multitasking. The tablet similarly supports Wireless Second Screen functionality, allowing users to mirror or extend their PC displays for presentations or collaborative work. It is compatible with the X Keyboard 20 and a stylus for sketching and note-taking, and supports external peripherals like mice and keyboards.

AI Integration and Multimedia

The XPAD Edge integrates Infinix AI, offering features like AI Writing for text enhancement, Hi Translation for multilingual support, and AI Art for visual content creation. A Folax voice assistant enables voice commands for text translation and summarization. The device is equipped with a four-speaker system for enhanced audio quality.

Storage and Durability

The XPAD Edge supports up to 256GB of internal storage and up to 16GB of RAM with virtual expansion. External storage of up to 2TB is also supported. Infinix states the tablet has undergone 45 quality tests to ensure durability.
