The Sun King Returns to Versailles on M6 This Christmas
Twenty years after its initial success, The Sun King finds a second wind in 2025. Before returning to theaters for an exceptional tour, the musical makes an unprecedented stop on M6 this Thursday, December 25, 2025. And for this great musical evening,the show has a prestigious location: the Château de Versailles.
It was here, more than three hundred years ago, that Louis XIV lived. Emmanuel Moire, the iconic Sun King of the show, and petitom, Molière in Molière, the musical show, retrace the life and loves of this king who reigned for no less than seventy-two years. “I am very happy and very honored to become your Sun King again for an evening” introduces the singer and actor, before launching the festivities.
An evening of tribute to musicals
More M6 also reserves some anachronisms. Unexpected guests, Julien Lieb and Mikelangelo Loconte respectively resume The assasymphony et Tattoo me, legendary songs from Mozart, the rock opera.
