MEDEF International and its partners; MEDEF Alsace, CCI Alsace-Eurométropole, Business France, the World Bank, the General Directorate of the Treasury, AFD and Bpifranceinvite you to a meeting on international business financing tools, the Tuesday March 17, 2026.

THE multilateral banks finance projects in emerging and developing countries (especially in Africa, Asia and Latin America), which represents numerous business opportunities. Indeed, the realization of these projects involves calls for tenders (engineering, consulting, supply of goods or services, works) which can be won by French companies. In this context, better understand the operating methods of development banks and their procurement rules allows you to prospect more effectively.

Thus, this meeting will be an opportunity to:

  • present the existing financial instruments (loans to the public and private sectors, donations, equity investments, guarantees, technical assistance);

And particular focus will be on the World Bank. Founded in 1944, it constitutes the main source of multilateral financing for the economic, social and institutional development of developing countries. For example, in fiscal year 2024, the World Bank disbursed USD 89 billion to the poorest countries in the form of donations or financing on very favorable terms (and USD 117.5 billion in commitments).

Closing date for registrations: Friday March 13.
