Iran Launches Attacks on US and Israeli Targets Amidst Escalating Tensions

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has carried out a new wave of attacks targeting military bases belonging to the United States and military installations in Israel, escalating tensions in the region. The attacks, reported on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, targeted locations in Gulf countries, and Israel.

According to a statement from Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps, carried by the semi-official Mehr news agency, the 34th wave of attacks utilized three types of missiles, including a hypersonic missile.

The IRGC claimed to have hit a “hidden missile launcher of the Zionist army in ‘Bnei Brak’ east of Tel Aviv” with a powerful Iranian missile.

Israeli Response and Additional Incidents

The Israeli military confirmed identifying missiles launched from Iran towards Israeli territory, stating that defense systems were activated to intercept the threats.

In a separate incident, rockets fired from Lebanon injured several people in central Israel. Whereas most of the rockets were intercepted, two projectiles landed without warning, causing minor injuries. An investigation by Israel’s Internal Defense Command and the air force determined that the rockets were detected but not intercepted in time.

The IRGC is a powerful organization in Iran, created after the 1979 revolution as a counterweight to the traditional armed services.
