Iran’s IRGC Launches Strikes Targeting US and Israeli Positions
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced a series of strikes against targets in the region, specifically targeting both United States and Israeli positions. The operation, dubbed the 67th phase of “Operation True Promise 4,” was carried out on Friday, coinciding with the concluding days of Ramadan.
Tribute to Fallen Spokesperson
The IRGC stated the operation was conducted in tribute to Brigadier General Ali Mohammad Naeini, their recently martyred spokesperson, and his deceased brother. General Naeini, a veteran of the Iran-Iraq war, had served as the IRGC spokesperson since 2024 and was known for his defiant stance against the US and Israel. He was killed in US-Israeli strikes on March 20, 2026.
Targets of the Strikes
The IRGC announced a strike on significant United States positions, specifically targeting the Ali al-Salem base. This base is a strategic location that includes drone and airspace command centers, aircraft maintenance facilities, and serves as the operations center for the US-led coalition.
In addition to the Ali al-Salem base, Iranian forces targeted the Al-Wafa base, focusing on early-warning radar systems and missile defense structures. Iranian forces targeted Israeli radar, satellite, and missile defense centers throughout the occupied Palestinian territories.
Weapons Used and Warnings
The IRGC announced they unleashed a significant offensive, deploying a substantial array of heavy missiles and drones. The offensive included Khorramshahr-4 and Qadr multiple-warhead missiles, and utilized dozens of attack drones against US bases in the region. Naval units also engaged, hitting six logistics camps of US forces with kamikaze drones and cruise missiles.
The IRGC issued a stern warning, stating, “The fate of the tyrant Saddam awaits Trump and the criminal Netanyahu,” alluding to the former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein. The statement emphasized that the operations are part of Iran’s broader strategy of resistance, asserting, “Entering battle is not a sign of defeat. The path to defeat is closed to us by divine intervention, and victory is imminent.”
