Amnesty International Demands Ports Block Ship carrying Munitions to Israel

States must prevent the Portuguese-flagged holger G vessel from docking at their ports. This ship carries munition components destined for Israel, and allowing it to proceed creates a clear risk of contributing to genocide in Gaza, as well as war crimes and crimes against humanity against Palestinians, according to Amnesty International.

The Ditch first reported that the german-owned ship is transporting 440 tonnes of mortar bomb parts, projectiles, and military-grade steel.These materials are intended for major Israeli defense contractors supplying the Israeli military. The Holger G set sail from India on November 16th, with Haifa, Israel, as its destination. There, it will deliver the cargo to Elbit Systems, Israel’s largest arms manufacturer, and its subsidiary, IMI Systems.
