israelis Line Up for portuguese Citizenship – Why?

Tel Aviv – Thousands of Israelis are waiting in long lines outside the Portuguese Embassy too apply for Portuguese citizenship. The demand for Portuguese citizenship has increased since the Hamas attacks on October 7, 2023, as many Israelis seek a second passport for extra security.

The Times of Israel reported that long lines were seen outside the Cinema City Gliot building in Ramat Hasharon, where the Portuguese Embassy is located, starting Friday, November 28th.

People who don’t have appointments can make one at the Portuguese Embassy to apply for citizenship or renew their Portuguese passport.
