Juventus, Football Australia and Freiburg Secure Novel Sponsorship Deals
Several prominent soccer clubs have recently announced new sponsorship agreements, bolstering their financial positions and expanding their brand reach. These deals span across Europe and Australia, showcasing the continued commercial interest in the sport.
Juventus Partners with Heineken
Italian Serie A giants Juventus have forged a multi-year partnership with Dutch brewing company Heineken, naming them the club’s official beer partner. Juventus.com reports that Heineken will have a significant presence within the 41,507-capacity Allianz Stadium, including pouring rights and activations, particularly within the Club Sivori hospitality section, which will host the “Heineken Extra Time Experience.”
Heineken, already a prominent sponsor in European soccer through its long-standing relationship with the UEFA Champions League, adds Juventus to its portfolio. Juventus Chief Business Officer Peter Silverstone stated that Heineken’s decision “further reflects the strength and global positioning of our brand and our unrivalled position as the most globally supported Italian team.” Juventus.com
Football Australia and Isuzu UTE Australia Extend Partnership
Football Australia has announced a new multi-year tie-up with Isuzu UTE Australia (IUA). ESPN reports that IUA will serve as the official automotive partner of Australia’s national teams, encompassing the men’s, women’s, youth, and para-soccer squads. The partnership will promote the Isuzu D-MAX and MU-X models through in-person activations and digital content.
This three-year agreement will cover Australia through the 2026 men’s and 2027 women’s FIFA World Cups, as well as the 2026 AFC Women’s Asian Cup, which Australia will host. Isuzu already sponsors the A-Leagues and will continue to do so as part of this expanded deal.
Freiburg Secures Lexware as Front-of-Shirt Sponsor
German Bundesliga side Freiburg has announced a new front-of-shirt sponsorship with locally-based software company Lexware, part of the Haufe Group. Lexware has been a sponsor of Freiburg since 1999, progressing from general sponsorship to sleeve sponsor (since 2023-24) and youth academy sponsor (since 2024-25).
The partnership will begin with the 2026-27 campaign, encompassing all Freiburg men’s and U23 team jerseys, comprehensive matchday and TV sponsorship, social media and digital presenting rights, and activation opportunities. Lexware will also expand its sponsorship to include Freiburg’s women’s team as a sleeve sponsor.
