Ja Morant to Miss Grizzlies vs. Magic Game Due to Calf Contusion

Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant will be sidelined for Thursday’s NBA game against the Orlando Magic (2 p.m. ET, Prime Video) as he continues to recover from a right calf contusion, the team announced Wednesday. This marks the sixth consecutive game morant will miss due to the injury.

The Grizzlies currently hold a 17-22 record, placing them tenth in the western Conference standings. Morant has been available for 18 games this season, during which the team has a 6-12 record. He is averaging 19 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 7.6 assists per game.

This is not the first time this season Morant has been hampered by a calf injury. He previously missed ten straight games earlier in the season with a Grade 1 right calf sprain. The team has not yet announced a timeline for his return, and his status will continue to be evaluated.

Fans can follow updates on Morant’s condition and the Grizzlies’ performance on the official NBA website and through team announcements.
