JAECOO Indonesia to Expand SUV Lineup with Two Novel 7-Seater Models

Jakarta – JAECOO Indonesia is poised to strengthen its presence in the Indonesian market with the introduction of two new seven-passenger SUV models, slated for release by the end of 2026. The announcement signals a continued expansion for the Chinese brand, which entered the Indonesian market in January 2025.

New 7-Seater SUVs to Focus on Off-Road Capabilities

According to Zeng Shuo, President Director of Chery Group Indonesia, the upcoming SUVs will emphasize off-road capabilities and offer larger dimensions compared to JAECOO’s current offerings. “So we will introduce to the Indonesian market, including two 7-seaters at the end of this year and next year. So both will focus on the iconic off-road SUV model. Later, the advantages compared to our current products, (in terms of dimensions) will be even greater,” stated Zeng Shuo [Berita Unggulan].

JAECOO’s Growth and Expansion Plans

JAECOO, a sub-brand of Chery Group, has been actively introducing its SUV lineup to Indonesia, including the J7 SHS-P and J8 SHS-P ARDIS, both featuring the Super Hybrid System (SHS) technology, as well as the fully electric J5 EV. The company currently operates 25 dealerships across Indonesia and aims to expand its network to 80 locations by the end of 2026 [DeepEnd], [Lajuroda].

Leadership and Customer Service Enhancements

Under the leadership of Business Unit Director Jim Ma, appointed in November 2025 [Berita Unggulan], [DeepEnd], JAECOO is focused on strengthening its expansion and enhancing customer service. Ma brings over 20 years of experience in the automotive industry to the role.

Commitment to Customer Support

JAECOO demonstrated its commitment to customer support during the Eid al-Fitr holiday by activating 14 dealerships and providing 24-hour emergency assistance, including towing, fuel supply, and home service. The company also offered a free spooring service program at 28 dealer locations across Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan, Bali, Sulawesi, and Jabodetabek until March 31, 2026.
