German satirist Jan Böhmermann (45), known for his work on “ZDF Magazin Royale,” is embarking on a ten-city tour across Germany in January and February 2027 with the Ehrenfeld Radio Dance Orchestra. The tour, titled “Up! On! Ehrenfeld!” will kick off on January 19th in Frankfurt am Main.

The live display is described as a “first-class satirical-political revue” featuring sharp lyrics and live music. Organizers promise a program that “does not avoid the gloomy present, but instead faces it with a laugh and head start.”

Böhmermann stated, “The enemies of reason are loud. The enemies of joy are organized. The enemies of free thought have perseverance,” but expressed confidence with the orchestra, adding, “But we have the Ehrenfeld Radio Dance Orchestra – and we’re really keen.”

This tour marks the fifth collaboration between Böhmermann and the Ehrenfeld Radio Dance Orchestra. Previous tours have featured surprise guests, including Claus Weselsky, a prominent figure in German rail strikes, and Giovanni Zarrella [1].
