Jekabpils Heating Modernization Contract Signed With Altum
SIA “Jēkabpils siltums” signed an agreement with financial institution Altum on September 22 to modernize the boiler house at Celtnieku ielā 13A, securing financial support in the form of a capital discount upon successful project completion. The municipal utility company aims to improve heating supply efficiency and cut production costs through the overhaul.
Biomass Boiler Replacement Details
The project centers on removing the existing woodchip boiler and installing a modern biomass heating unit with a capacity of 0.99 megawatts. SIA “P.M.G.” holds the contract for construction and execution work. Meanwhile, SIA “JUKOBŪVE” will oversee the construction supervision to ensure compliance with project specifications.
Efficiency And Automation Targets
The technological upgrade delivers two primary operational improvements for the utility provider. The new equipment operates with significantly higher efficiency, which reduces the resource consumption required to generate the same volume of heat. Full automation allows the unit to run independently without constant on-site staff supervision, cutting personnel costs for the company.
Altum provides capital discount for project costs
Total project costs reach 415,248 euros, excluding value-added tax. The financial backing from Altum functions as a capital discount, meaning funds are disbursed following the successful implementation and verification of the modernization work.
