Jeonju City Choir to Celebrate Spring with New Commissions and Classic Repertoire

Jeonju, South Korea – February 21, 2026 – The Jeonju City Choir, under the artistic direction and permanent conductor Kim Cheol, is set to present its 156th regular concert on February 26th at 7:30 pm. The performance will take place at Yeonji Hall within the Korea Sound Culture Center.

The concert, themed ‘Spring Blooms Where the Wind Leaves,’ will feature newly commissioned works from four Korean composers alongside pieces by Rachmaninoff and Schumann. Rachmaninoff’s choral work, based on lyrics from the late poet Kim Jong-gil, will open the program, offering a deeply spiritual resonance.

The Jeonju City Choir’s performance aims to herald the arrival of spring through a blend of contemporary compositions and established choral classics.
