Real Madrid Names Squad for El Clásico Trip to Barcelona
Real Madrid travels to face Barcelona at the Spotify Camp Nou for the first El Clásico of the season, with manager José Mourinho naming a full travelling squad that includes returning defender Éder Militão. The visitors head into the matchup knowing that a defeat would leave them nine points behind Hansi Flick’s side in the standings, making a loss costly for their ambitions.
Militão Returns as Vinícius Jr Stays Home
Militão rejoins the defensive unit after overcoming his recent absence, strengthening a squad that needs maximum points in Catalonia. The visitors cannot afford another setback against their arch-rivals if they want to close the gap at the top of the table. Forward Vinícius Jr misses the fixture entirely due to a domestic suspension, forcing Mourinho to adjust his attacking options for the crucial away match.

Barcelona has chosen to withhold its official matchday panel on the eve of the encounter. Manager Hansi Flick will confirm his selection of players on Sunday morning ahead of the evening kickoff. The league leaders hold a nine-point advantage over their rivals as they prepare to host the fixture in Catalunya’s capital.
