Jeremy Giambi, a former major League Baseball player best known for his portrayal in Michael LewisS book and the subsequent film Moneyball, has died. Giambi enjoyed a six-season career in the majors, playing for the Oakland Athletics, Kansas City Royals, Philadelphia Phillies, and Boston Red Sox. He debuted with the Kansas City Royals in 1995 and concluded his MLB career with the Boston Red Sox in 2003.
