Jessi Ngatikaura Opens Up About Disappointing Plastic Surgery Results and Emotional Toll

Jessi Ngatikaura, star of the reality television display The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, recently shared her emotional experience following plastic surgery procedures, revealing her dissatisfaction with the results and the impact it has had on her self-esteem and career. Ngatikaura, 33, underwent an upper and lower blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) and fat grafting in March 2026, spending approximately $25,000 on the procedures [1].

Disappointment and Unexpected Results

Ngatikaura took to TikTok on March 5, 2026, to discuss her experience, expressing her unhappiness with the outcome. She explained that she hadn’t fully understood the implications of the fat grafting procedure, which was suggested as an alternative to facial fillers to stimulate collagen production in areas where she had experienced facial volume loss [1].

“I went in for a lower bleph and then I asked about an upper bleph and ended up getting that. Did not want that [fat] grafting, to be honest. I just listened to a suggestion [without] really understanding what it was, what it was going to do, what the results were gonna be, what the recovery was gonna be,” Ngatikaura shared [1].

She similarly revealed that fat grafting was applied to her lips without her explicit request, resulting in an uneven and “lumpy” appearance. “It’s made my lips really lumpy,” she explained. “I have one that dips. I’m getting a lot of comments about my lip filler and I agree, it looks awful. My face looks terrible.” [1]

Emotional Impact and Regret

Ngatikaura became visibly emotional while discussing the impact of the surgery on her self-image. She expressed feeling insecure and regretting her decision to alter her appearance. “I’m really insecure,” she said through tears. “I understand that I look really different and I hate it. I look back at how I used to look [and] I watched season 4 and I’m like, ‘Damn. I looked really good.’ I wish I could have seen that. I’m gonna cry talking about it.” [1]

She stated that she feels she went “way too far” trying to fix perceived flaws and now vows to avoid further facial procedures, with the exception of Botox. Ngatikaura also expressed concern about the impact on her career, stating, “This last surgery ruined my life. I look f***ing hideous in season 5. It’s ruined my career.” [1]

Call for Informed Decision-Making

Ngatikaura used her platform to encourage others to thoroughly research any potential cosmetic procedures before undergoing them. She emphasized the importance of understanding the risks, potential outcomes, and recovery process. She wished she had been provided with more comprehensive information prior to her surgery [1].

Fan Support

Despite her distress, Ngatikaura received an outpouring of support from her fans and fellow cast members. Miranda McWhorter, her co-star on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, praised Ngatikaura’s transparency and authenticity, affirming her beauty both before and after the procedures [1].
