Cat‘s 70-Kilometer Journey Ends wiht Rescue by Fire Brigade
Purmerend, Netherlands – December 23, 2025 – A remarkable rescue unfolded this evening when the fire brigade successfully saved a cat that had travelled over 70 kilometers hidden under the bonnet of a car.The feline’s unexpected journey began after it went missing from its owners, prompting them to utilize the tracking device integrated into its collar.
To the owners’ dismay, the tracker revealed the cat was travelling along the A2 highway, heading in the direction of Amsterdam. A determined pursuit ensued, with the owners following in their own vehicle, as reported by a press photographer from RVP Media.
The cat’s travels ultimately concluded in Purmerend, where the fire brigade was called upon to safely extract the animal from the vehicle’s engine compartment.
