Germany manager Jurgen Klopp has praised Karim Adeyemi ahead of his team’s upcoming match. The Barcelona star returned to the Germany squad following his move and recently featured in a 1-1 draw against the Netherlands.
Addressing Recent Performances and Missed Chances
During a press conference ahead of Germany’s next match, Klopp was quizzed on Adeyemi following the forward’s recent performances and missed opportunities. When asked about Adeyemi wasting a good opportunity against the Dutch, Klopp joked with a laugh, I was just about to ask which miss?
Klopp quickly defended the player, adding, He would have put that away normally, even if the ball bounced and was played sharply
He noted that dealing with such moments is the biggest challenge in a footballer’s life and stated that they are working on it, while pointing out that Adeyemi still had many really good moments during the game.
Praise for Adeyemi’s Skills and Personality
Klopp made his affection for the player clear by highlighting both his character and athletic abilities. Describing the forward, Klopp stated, He’s a wonderful guy and a very pleasant person. I really like the whole package he offers.
The manager also emphasized Adeyemi’s physical and technical attributes:
I know few people who can choose whether to take the ball with their left or right foot when they’re running.
And he has incredible speed,
Klopp added.
