Seoul Animal Welfare Support Center Dongdaemun is currently operating a transport vehicle for rescuing abandoned animals, but there were limitations to rapid on-site response due to internal facilities becoming outdated due to long-term use and a structure unsuitable for transporting rescued animals.
This vehicle support is expected to allow abandoned animals to be rescued and transported more quickly and safely. In particular, KB Insurance expects that this new vehicle will greatly increase the efficiency and safety of field response as it is designed specifically for rescue of abandoned animals and medical transport.
The vehicle will be designated and deposited at the Seoul Animal Welfare Support Center Dongdaemun through the Happy World with Animals corporation. It will be used in various fields throughout Seoul, including emergency rescue of abandoned animals, disaster and accident rescue and treatment, hospital transport, and adoption-linked activities.
An official from KB Insurance said, “We hope that abandoned animals at risk can be protected in a safer environment,” and added, “We will continue to contribute to creating a warm companion culture and improving animal welfare through various social contribution activities linked to pet insurance.”
