With the spread of non-face-to-face medical services and the issue of the influx of unqualified people into medical platforms has been raised as a social concern, Kiwoong Information & Communications has responded by introducing a ‘Medical Person License Information Inquiry’ service that supports verification of medical practitioner qualifications.

Kiwoong Information & Communications announced that it is providing the service in a diversified form through its business data API store ‘Data Hub‘. This service is designed to provide real-time information on 17 health care licenses managed by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, including doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and oriental medical doctors.

Another feature of the interconnection method is that it supports API and SaaS types, installation type tailored to corporate environments, and SDKs dedicated to Android and iOS for mobile environments, allowing it to be used in various medical platforms. Through this, platform operators are expected to quickly check the qualifications of medical personnel and increase service reliability.

Recently, medical platforms that provide integrated services from medical appointments to prescriptions and payments have been growing rapidly, but as cases of online consultations being conducted by unlicensed personnel or the spread of unverified medical information content have occurred, reliability issues across the industry are emerging. In this situation, establishing a verification system that can verify medical professional qualifications even in a non-face-to-face environment is recognized as essential infrastructure.

Kim Jong-ho, head of Kiwoong Information & Communications, predicted that as digital healthcare deregulation and non-face-to-face treatment expansion policies progress in the future, the autonomous verification responsibility of platform operators will be strengthened, and that verification infrastructure that guarantees trust will become a new standard in the digital transformation process of the medical industry..
