Northwestern’s Keira Kemmerley Selected for U.S. Under-19 Women’s National Team Training Camp

ATLANTA – Northwestern University first-year midfielder Keira Kemmerley has been named to the U.S. Under-19 Women’s National Team roster for an upcoming training camp and a series of friendly matches in Portugal, beginning February 21st. Northwestern University Athletics announced the selection on February 16, 2026.

International Competition in Portugal

Kemmerley is among 20 players who will participate in the training camp and compete in three international friendly matches against Czechia, Wales, and Portugal. The matches will take place outside of Porto, with the USA facing Czechia on February 27th at Estadio Municipal de Arouca, Wales on March 2nd at Estadio Conde Dias Garcia, and Portugal on March 6th at Estadio Municipal de Arouca. Kemmerley’s Standout Freshman Season

The midfielder enjoyed a successful rookie season with the Wildcats, recording one goal and three assists. Her three assists were the most by a Northwestern first-year player since Caterina Regazzoni too tallied three in 2022. Kemmerley earned Big Ten All-Freshman Team honors and is Northwestern’s first All-Freshman Team selection since Megan Norkett in 2023. Northwestern University Athletics highlighted these achievements.

Eligibility for the 2026 FIFA Women’s U-20 World Cup

All 20 players named to the U.S. U-19 Women’s National Team roster are eligible for selection to the 2026 FIFA Women’s U-20 World Cup, which will be held in Poland next fall. Northwestern University Athletics confirmed this eligibility.
