Pitt Volleyball standouts Kelley and Mosher Selected in Major League Volleyball Draft

PITTSBURGH – Redshirt seniors Bre Kelley and Brooke Mosher were selected in the 2025 Major League Volleyball (MLV) Draft on monday. kelley was drafted sixth overall in the frist round by the Orlando Valkyries, the reigning champions, and Brooke Mosher whent in the second round as the 15th pick to the Omaha Supernovas. Kelley will join Pitt libero great Emmy Klika in Orlando.

Kelley’s remarkable Career at Pitt

Kelley has been instrumental in Pitt’s success, contributing to two ACC Championship and Final four teams in consecutive years. Last season, she earned AVCA Second Team all-American honors, was named to the AVCA East Coast Region Team, and recognized as a First Team All-ACC performer.

Kelley currently ranks second in programme history for most block assists in a single season during the rally scoring era, recording 144 in 2024. She also set new program and conference records with a .497 hitting percentage last season. Her performance earned her a spot on the AVCA National Player of the Year watch List and ACC Defensive Player of the Week accolades following strong matches against Pepperdine and Jacksonville. This season, Kelley’s 1.49 blocks per set is 12th nationally and second in the ACC.

Mosher’s dominance as a Setter

Mosher recently achieved her 3,000th career assist against Cal and has been honored as ACC Setter of the Week three times. Currently, she is leading Pitt to a .309 team hitting percentage, ranking sixth in the nation, and averaging a personal-best 9.79 assists per set.

Earlier this season, Mosher delivered a career-high 60 assists in a five-set victory over Louisville, marking the most assists in a match by a Pitt player as Kamalani Akeo in 2017.

Pro Volleyball Federation Rebrands as Major League Volleyball
