Kadokawa’s Dengeki Daioh G magazine launched Mozukuzu’s new manga adaptation, Kemomimi Miko no Isekai Jinja Saikō-ki: Kami-sama ga Kureta Kiseki no Chikara no sei de Matsurare Sugite Komattemasu, in its 157th issue released on Monday. English-speaking audiences know the fantasy series by the title The story of a shrine maiden with animal ears reviving a shrine in another world: I’m Troubled by Being Worshipped Too Much Because of the Miraculous Power a God Gave Me.
Novel Origins and Creative Team
The manga adapts the light novel series written by Mizuho Itsuki and illustrated by risumi. Kadokawa published the original novel volume in September 2024. Itsuki is also known for writing the light novel series Management of a Novice Alchemist. The newly debuted comic adaptation brings the fantastical world and shrine-revival narrative from the page to a sequential art format under illustrator Mozukuzu.
Plot and Premise
The story follows Suzuka Mimori, a high school girl working as a shrine maiden at her family’s shrine. A mysterious vortex suddenly transports her to an alternate world. Upon arrival, she receives a letter from the local enshrined deity. Once worshipped as a divine beast, the god has since been forgotten by the populace and enlists Suzuka to serve as a shrine maiden to gather worshippers again. To accomplish this task, the god grants Suzuka a mysterious power that allows her to perform “miracles,” alongside fox ears and a tail.
Mozukuzu’s Prior Manga Work
Before this project, illustrator Mozukuzu drew the manga version of Ryūichi Suzuki’s light novel series Dungeon Farm: Kicked Out of My Home, So I’m Homesteading in a Dungeon!. That project launched on Square Enix’s Gangan Online website in August 2023 and concluded with its fourth compiled book volume in October 2025. Square Enix’s Manga UP! Global service distributed that adaptation in English digitally.
