Russian Missile Strike Kills Woman in Chuhuiv, Kharkiv Region

Chuhuiv, a city in the Kharkiv Oblast of Ukraine, was struck by Russian missiles on May 23, 2025, resulting in the death of a woman and injuries to at least two men. The attack is part of a continuing pattern of Russian strikes targeting civilian areas in the Kharkiv region.

According to Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, the city was hit by a missile strike. Emergency services were dispatched to the scene immediately following the explosion. As of 4:44 PM local time, one woman was confirmed dead and two men were reported wounded. Medics are providing necessary assistance to the injured.

Ongoing Russian Aggression

This incident follows a broader pattern of Russian attacks on the Kharkiv region. On May 21, 2025, the region experienced shelling that injured five civilians, including a 28-year-old man and women aged 22, 55, 65, and 77. These attacks utilized KABs (guided bombs), UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles), and FPV drones.
