Stratzinger Straße Road Renovation

As part of the 2024-2026 road construction program, Stratzinger Straße, between Langenloiser Straße and the Krems elevated reservoir, will undergo significant renovations. The project involves milling the existing roadway and applying a new asphalt surface layer to the approximately 280-meter long, 6.5-meter wide section. The total cost of the renovation is €220,000. Traffic Safety Improvements in Gneixendorf

The council has unanimously approved a traffic safety concept for Gneixendorf, addressing concerns on Gneixendorfer Hauptstrasse, Limbergstrasse, and Langenloiser Strasse due to increased traffic volume. The plan focuses on developing and implementing a coordinated package of measures to enhance traffic safety and alleviate burdens on residents. Climbing Hall Access for Local Clubs

Following the redesign of the climbing wall in the Krems sports hall, the city council adjusted tariff regulations to provide free access for Krems Alpine club members and Krems Nature Friends members for club events. This includes free entry for climbing courses, officially organized training, and Krems climbing championships for a period of seven years for Alpine club members and two years for Nature Friends members. Building on a successful pilot project, the city will establish a permanent holiday care program for students from the Krems Small Group School (ASO) starting in summer 2026. The program will be available to children from district communities if space permits. Care will be provided Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. To 4 p.m. (with potential extension to 6 p.m.) for at least two weeks during the summer holidays, at a cost of €54 per week in 2026, with a social staggering plan in place.
