Latvian Entrepreneurs Take Center Stage in New Business Program “Uzrāviens”
A new program titled “Uzrāviens” (“Uprising”) will premiere on LTV1, REplay.lv, and LMT Viedtelevizija on March 12th, showcasing the stories of innovative Latvian entrepreneurs. The program aims to highlight individuals who proactively create opportunities and navigate the challenges of building successful businesses in the international market.
Focus on Latvian Innovation and EU Support
“Uzrāviens” will feature 20 Latvian entrepreneurs across diverse industries, exploring their journeys – including successes, competitive strategies, export initiatives, and valuable lessons learned from mistakes. The program will similarly examine how these businesses leverage support programs offered by the European Union.
Insights from Industry Leaders
Andris Kužnieks, head of the European Commission’s representation, emphasized the importance of showcasing the real-world impact of EU support programs through the experiences of entrepreneurs. Business strategist Anna Celmiņa and actor Gatis Gāga will visit the featured entrepreneurs, offering different perspectives on their business approaches.
Celmiņa, who has experience in advertising, managing her own company, and working with a global start-up, noted the surprising creativity and success of Latvian businesses operating in international markets. Gāga, an actor and orchard owner, will focus on the dynamics of negotiation and success factors.

Jana Semjonova, director of Latvian Television’s program department, described “Uzrāviens” as a program about the future of Latvia, highlighting its relevance to the country’s development. Ingmārs Pūkis, vice president and board member of the LMT Group, stressed that there are no limits for those who create unique value and that Latvian innovations deserve recognition.

The first episode of “Uzrāviens,” airing on March 12th, will introduce viewers to two ambitious Latvian companies: “EngyCell” and “HackMotion.”
