Lazio Agrees to Terms with Atalanta for Daniel Maldini
Lazio is poised to finalize the signing of Daniel Maldini from Atalanta, marking the club’s fourth acquisition of the winter transfer window. The agreement, expected to be formalized imminently, involves an initial loan deal worth €1 million.
The deal includes a redemption clause, allowing Lazio the option to permanently acquire Maldini for a fee of €13 million. This clause is not mandatory, providing the club with adaptability in future transfer decisions.
Manager Maurizio Sarri views Maldini as a versatile attacking option, possibly deploying him as a false nine. He will compete for playing time with existing forwards Dia, Noslin, and Ratkov. However, the potential departure of either Dia or Noslin during the remaining days of the transfer window could influence Maldini’s role within the squad.
