Lees-McRae Women’s Basketball to Host Conference Carolinas Championship Rounds

BANNER ELK, N.C. – Lees-McRae women’s basketball is set to host the first two rounds of the 2026 Conference Carolinas Women’s Basketball Championship at the McNair & Debi Tornow Court, beginning on Sunday, March 1.

The Bobcats concluded their regular-season play with a 19-7 overall record and a 15-5 mark in Conference Carolinas games. Lees-McRae secured the fifth seed in the KPI rankings and will face the winner of the matchup between No. 8 UNC Pembroke and No. 11 Ferrum on Monday, March 2, at 5 p.m.

The victor of Monday’s game will advance to the final site and compete in the quarterfinals, scheduled for Friday, March 6, at Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium. The semifinals and championship final will follow on Saturday, March 7, and Sunday, March 8, respectively, likewise at Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium.
