Hamilton praises Ferrari’s Promising Start too 2026 Season
Ferrari’s preparations for the 2026 Formula 1 season have been lauded by driver Lewis Hamilton following a successful pre-season test at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. the seven-time World Champion expressed his satisfaction wiht the SF-26’s performance, noting the team’s ability to complete extensive running without encountering significant issues.
Hamilton first took to the track on Tuesday afternoon in challenging wet conditions, describing the experience as “valuable” for familiarizing himself with the new car. he returned to the cockpit on Thursday and Friday, ultimately setting the fastest lap time of the test with a 1m 16.348 in the final hour.Throughout the test,Hamilton completed an impressive 204 laps,providing the team with a wealth of data.
despite the encouraging results,the 41-year-old driver emphasized the importance of thorough data analysis before the upcoming tests in Bahrain. “It’s been a really productive and enjoyable week,” Hamilton stated. “There has been a huge amount of work over the winter, both personally and from everyone in the team, and it’s good to see that reflected in the mileage we’ve been able to complete without major issues.”
He further added, “Driving in wet conditions early on was actually a valuable experience, especially with a new car, and overall it’s been a solid start. There’s still a lot to learn and plenty of work to do, but the atmosphere in the team is positive and focused.”
Ferrari will now focus on analyzing the data collected during the Barcelona test to refine the SF-26’s setup and performance ahead of the Bahrain tests next month, as they aim to build on this promising foundation for the 2026 season.
