Leyard Claims Market Leadership in Fine Pixel Pitch LED Displays
Leyard has announced its position as the leading provider of fine pixel pitch LED displays (<2mm) in both Western Europe and the United States, according to market research from Omdia covering the fourth quarter of 2024. This marks the first time Leyard has claimed market leadership in Western Europe.
European Market Gains
Filip Cogghe, Vice President of Europe at Leyard, highlighted the achievement as a confirmation of the company’s strategic transformation. “This milestone confirms that our strategic transformation is delivering real impact. As we often say, ‘Change is working,’” Cogghe stated in a LinkedIn post on LinkedIn.
Dominance in the US Market
Federico Haba, Territory Head, Ibérica at Leyard, further noted the company’s strong performance in the United States, where Leyard holds a 41.3% market share in the fine pixel pitch (<2mm) segment. Leyard also secured the number one position for total market share in the US. In Europe, Leyard ranks third in total market share.
Innovation and Expansion
Leyard’s success is underpinned by a significant investment in research and development, boasting over 900 registered patents, including more than 65 specifically in microLED technology. The company is also expanding its production capabilities, including doubling capacity at its facility in Prešov, Slovakia, and scaling micro LED output in Shenzhen.
Technological Advancements
Recent innovations from Leyard include a COB series with 0.9–2.5mm pixel pitch and flip-chip technology, as well as micro LED displays featuring MIP technology. Leyard Europe’s EverCare Lifetime Limited Warranty demonstrates a commitment to customer satisfaction and long-term product value.
Leadership Team
Filip Cogghe joined Leyard as Vice President of Sales and Marketing – Europe on July 1st, 2025. Prior to Leyard, Cogghe served as Sales Director for global and strategic corporate sales at Sharp NEC Display Solutions Europe GmbH as reported by Planar. He is based in the Brussels metropolitan area and is a graduate of Thomas More University of Applied Sciences.
Federico Haba recently joined Leyard and currently serves as Territory Head, Ibérica.
