Lilydale Melba Festival Schedules Fifth Annual Street Fair for December 2026
The fifth annual Lilydale Melba Festival & Street Fair will transform the township’s main shopping streets and green spaces on Sunday, 6 December 2026, running from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Presented by the Lilydale Township Action Group alongside local community and business partners, the free family-friendly event features a street parade, live entertainment, and more than 140 market stalls according to yarraranges.vic.gov.au.
Street Parade and Stage Performances Set the Pace
Festivities kick off at 10:00 AM with a vibrant street parade winding through Lilydale. The procession brings together local schools, community organisations, and performers. According to yarravalleypoint.com.au, past parades have included marching bands, fire trucks, classic cars, sporting clubs, and costumed participants.
Following the parade, live music and performances run throughout the day on the Kinley Main Stage at Ralph Goode Green. The programme showcases regional talent, giving emerging artists and community groups a platform in front of festival visitors.
Market Stalls and CFA Open Day Expand the Grounds
The street fair features over 140 market stalls operating across Main Street service roads and Clarke Street. Shoppers can browse handcrafted goods, artworks, jewellery, and specialty foods from local makers and Yarra Ranges producers. The event also hosts the largest-ever Lilydale CFA Open Day, offering community displays alongside historical and cultural interactions, arts and crafts workshops, and classic car exhibitions.

Childrens Zone and Community Involvement
Families can access a dedicated Children’s Zone that features entertainment and activities for younger visitors, alongside a “Pets on Parade” fancy dress competition. Organizers continue to call for community participation, seeking additional market stall holders, performers, local businesses, schools, clubs, and volunteers for the 2026 lineup.
