Final FIFA World Rankings of 2025 Revealed

The 2025 calendar year ended with the release of the final FIFA World Rankings, showing how the top national teams finished the year, including lionel Messi‘s Argentina and cristiano Ronaldo‘s Portugal.

Argentina played only one game in November. A 2-0 win over Angola in Luanda was enough for La Scaloneta to stay in second place in the FIFA rankings. France stayed third even with big wins over Ukraine and Azerbaijan, and Spain remained at the top.

With veteran Cristiano Ronaldo, Portugal finished the year in sixth place.The team had mixed results in november, losing 2-0 to Ireland before a strong 9-1 win over Armenia. These results helped Portugal stay near the top of the rankings.

Spain kept their top spot after beating Georgia 4-0 and tying 2-2 with Turkiye in their final European World Cup Qualifiers. These results secured first place and set up the Finalissima against Argentina, a much-anticipated game between Lamine Yamal and lionel Messi before the 2026 World Cup.
