Guérande Councilor’s Death: Suspect Indicted

The man suspected of killing a municipal councilor from Guérande (Loire-Atlantique) in late November has been indicted for murder and is being held in jail, the Nantes prosecutor’s office said Friday, December 5.

The suspect also faces charges for attempted murder of police officers who responded to the victim’s home, prosecutor Antoine Leroy confirmed, according to Ouest-France.

On November 25, the councilor was found stabbed to death in her home. The 34-year-old suspect had been staying with her for about ten days.
