DJ Bobo’s Singer Faces Deportation From Switzerland

The singer Lori Glori (66) is emotionally tired. it’s been over 30 years since she gave her voice to several of DJ bobo’s (57) global hits – and came away almost empty-handed. She sang the melodies of “Pray”, “There’s a Party” and “Respect Yourself”.

Now she is fighting again, this time for her existence in Switzerland. She is threatened with deportation. The authorities want to revoke her C settlement permit, which she has had since 2021. This is shown by documents available to Blick.

“I traveled to Malta in 2019 and came back to Switzerland in 2021,” she says. This stay was not planned for so long, but the Corona period made their return journey more tough and delayed.

Now she has to prove to the authorities that Switzerland has been the center of her life again as then. The documents and data Glori has submitted so far are apparently not enough for the office. “For this reason, we are considering expiring your permanent residence permit,” the letter says.

Loss of ID causes problems

This news hits the 66-year-old like a blow. “I’m not feeling well at the moment,” she says. She suffers from severe depression. «All of this is too much for me. Music is my work, but it all robs me of my creativity.”
