The wagon train is in the ditch and a passenger car caught fire after a head-on collision in Innlandet, according to the police.
The report about the serious accident came on 09.07 in the police log.
– It has now been confirmed to be a serious traffic accident between a lorry train and a passenger car.
According to operations manager Frode Øveras, it is a hit-and-run accident.
– The driver of the wagon train is trapped, but is conscious, he tells VG.
He does not yet have an overview of how many people are involved in the accident.
– This will be investigated, but in the first instance it is about life and health, says Øverås.
Earlier, the police had received a report about what appeared to be a traffic accident, where a lorry train should have run off the road. According to the report to the police, there must also have been a fire in the wagon train.
The road will be closed for an extended period of time. According to Øverås, there is a lot of fallout from the fire on the road.
