Louis Vuitton has partnered with high-end watchmaker De Bethune to create a limited collection of 12 LVDB-03 GMT travel watches, accompanied by two exceptionally rare Sympathetique clocks. This collaboration marks the frist mechanical Sympathetique clock produced in 35 years, representing a notable achievement in horological innovation.
the LVDB-03 GMT watches are available individually, with a price of €375,000 (approximately $406,000 USD as of February 29, 2024). However, the most exclusive offering consists of two complete sets, each including a watch and a Sympathetique clock, presented in custom titanium trunks. These complete sets are priced at €4,000,000 (approximately $4,325,000 USD as of february 29, 2024).
The Sympathetique clock is designed to automatically wind and set the LVDB-03 GMT watch overnight when the watch is placed within its cradle. This feature highlights the intricate engineering and dedication to precision that both Louis Vuitton and De Bethune bring to the partnership.
This collaboration is considered one of the most enterprising watch projects in recent years, combining Louis VuittonS luxury travel heritage with De Bethune’s mastery of mechanical watchmaking.
