Molly Smith and Tom Clare Navigate Wedding Planning and Launch New Podcast
Love Island: All Stars victors Molly Smith and Tom Clare are balancing wedding preparations with a new venture into the podcasting world. The couple, who captured the hearts of viewers when they won the show in February 2024 and announced their engagement in September 2025, are preparing for a summer 2026 wedding although also taking over hosting duties on the podcast NearlyWeds.
Wedding Plans in Motion, Despite the Pressure
With less than six months until their destination wedding, Molly and Tom are still finalizing key details. They are currently deciding between France and Spain as potential locations, but have yet to visit shortlisted venues. Molly admitted to feeling the pressure, stating to the Daily Mail, “That’s why it’s stressful as I have a countdown on my phone saying how long it is until the wedding, and I’m starting to have mini panic attacks every morning when it’s flagging.”
Despite the time constraints, the couple remains optimistic. “Sometimes people plan their wedding for a year or two years, but we will have this all to look back on. It is doable, you can do it, and you don’t necessarily have to wait,” Molly explained. Tom added, “We are having our wedding abroad, but we’re still in two minds at the moment. We don’t have long to make a decision. It’s between Spain and France.”
A Team Effort and the Search for the Perfect Dress
Molly and Tom emphasize a collaborative approach to wedding planning. Tom praised Molly’s efforts, saying, “Molly does a lot – I take my hat off to Mol, she has sorted out a lot.” Molly, however, is feeling anxious about finding her wedding dress, admitting she hasn’t even begun shopping and is “dreading” the possibility of not finding the perfect gown. “I have been screenshotting things off Instagram, and I’m going to start making appointments. It’s hard because we don’t know the venue yet, so I don’t have a vision or the vibe,” she said.
From the Villa to a Lasting Connection
The couple’s journey began on Love Island: All Stars, where Molly initially reconnected with her former partner, Callum Jones. However, her connection with Tom quickly blossomed, leading to their win and eventual engagement. Tom reflected on their unique path, stating, “To find Molly and have what we have, I am so grateful. It’s surreal. It was love at first sight, I had my eye on Molly before I went onto the show.” Molly added, “It is strange, isn’t it? Seeing the contestants in the villa and looking back, thinking about how we met and knowing how far we have come in that time.”
Taking the Reins of ‘NearlyWeds’ Podcast
Molly and Tom are stepping into the roles previously held by Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo as hosts of the NearlyWeds podcast, produced by Jamie Laing’s JamPot Productions. The podcast is set to launch on March 3, 2026, and will offer listeners an intimate look into their wedding planning process and life as a couple. They promise to be open and honest with their audience, sharing the realities of wedding planning and daily life. Tom stated, “For us to be as honest and open as we can, it will hopefully facilitate other people to see we’re not just this Instagram couple. they travel through all the same struggles.”
Future Plans and Family
While a wedding is their current priority, Molly and Tom have also discussed their future as a family. “For our future, we are not in any rush, we are taking it day by day, but the wedding is a top priority. We would love to have a family in the future and all of that. We speak about that, of course, but right now we’re in no rush. No pressure,” Tom shared.
