TUS Gaelic Grounds Prepares for Major Summer Concert Announcement

A major concert is scheduled to take place at Limerick GAA’s TUS Gaelic Grounds next summer, with an official announcement expected on Thursday morning. Limerick GAA joined four other stadium venues in releasing simultaneous social media teaser videos.

The short video clips show music gear being wheeled into each venue with a sticker labeled special delivery. The posts display a date stamp of November 5, 2026, alongside an 8:00 AM time slot, though no further details about the performer appear in the footage.

Promoter Involvement Across Five GAA Venues

Major music promoter Aiken Promotions has shared and liked the teaser videos across social platforms, suggesting a coordinated series of large-scale gigs across multiple Gaelic Athletic Association stadiums next summer. Alongside the TUS Gaelic Grounds in Limerick, the participating venues include SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh in Cork, Nowlan Park in Kilkenny, Pearse Stadium, and Boucher Road Playing Fields in Belfast.

The Ennis Road venue in Limerick has previously hosted notable music acts in recent years, including UB40 and The Wolfe Tones. Rumours circulating in local and national circles point to major international names such as U2 and Garth Brooks as potential headliners for the Limerick date, though Limerick GAA officials remain tightlipped following requests for comment.

Other venues involved in the teaser campaign possess extensive histories of hosting major stadium events. Pearse Stadium in Galway previously welcomed Ed Sheeran for back-to-back sell-out shows in May 2018, the Black Eyed Peas in 2022, and Westlife in 2008. In Cork, American country artist Zach Bryan performed at Páirc Uí Chaoimh, while Bruce Springsteen played Nowlan Park in 2024.

County Galway GAA Treasurer Assesses Modest Concert Financial Returns

Hosting stadium concerts involves complex financial arrangements between promoters and county boards. Following Ed Sheeran’s 2018 performances at Pearse Stadium, County Galway GAA Treasurer at the time Michael Burke stated that future venue concerts would require a solid financial return for the organization, noting that the board received a modest €119,085 return from the two dates, which included funding for a new CCTV system installation. By contrast, the Cork County Board reportedly generated approximately €1 million from Sheeran’s appearances at Páirc Uí Chaoimh.

The prospective concert arrives during a significant period for Limerick, which is preparing to host the 2027 Ryder Cup at JP McManus’ Adare Manor. With information surrounding Thursday’s reveal tightly held among a small number of county officials, anticipation continues to build across the region ahead of the 8:00 AM disclosure.
