CityNews Toronto noted that authorities located the victim with obvious stab wounds upon arrival at the Britannia area property, which police described as an industrial building rather than an established business. The party was in its late stages and we believe that it was starting to empty out and people were starting to leave,
he said.

Officers established a large police presence in the area following the incident, prompting temporary road closures while detectives examined the scene. Police logged the case under incident number PR260362288, as reported by insauga.com.

Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased man, pending the notification of next of kin. Police stated that it remains unclear whether the victim and the fleeing suspect knew each other prior to the altercation. Investigators currently treat the homicide as an isolated incident and maintain that there is no ongoing threat to public safety. We don’t have any information regarding the suspect at this time,
Plummer said. However, this investigation is in its infancy and that information is unfolding.

Detectives urge anyone who attended the private gathering to contact Peel Regional Police at 905-453-3311. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. It was a decent size party, that’s why we believe there’s others who may have witnesses this incident and we’re urging them to come forward,
