Marshall Launches Jimi Hendrix 60th Anniversary Edition Audio Gear

Marshall has officially finalized its Jimi Hendrix 60th Anniversary Collection with three new psychedelic-themed models, celebrating six decades since the legendary guitarist first plugged into a British Marshall amplifier in 1966, according to official company announcements. The final rollout includes the Major V on-ear headphones, the Emberton III portable Bluetooth speaker, and the handcrafted JMH Studio guitar amplifier.

Marshall Unveils Jimi Hendrix 60th Anniversary Lineup

The entire collection draws visual inspiration from Hendrix’s fascination with space, vibrant color palettes, and psychedelic imagery, according to Marshall’s release details. Each device features a distinctive black-and-purple oil-on-water pattern, complemented by silver hardware accents and the recurring motif of an all-seeing third eye to represent expanded perception.

Major V On-Ear Headphones Lead the Audio Gear

According to Marshall, the Major V Jimi Hendrix 60th Anniversary Edition retails for 149 euros and features the psychedelic pattern on the underside of the headband and inside the earcups. The headphones retain their standard multi-day battery life and signature acoustic tuning while carrying the commemorative design, with availability starting immediately on the manufacturer’s website and rolling out to wider retail on September 9, 2026.

Emberton III Speaker Features Unique Water-Transfer Print

The Emberton III Jimi Hendrix 60th Anniversary Edition carries a suggested retail price of 179.99 euros, featuring an exterior shell where the oil-on-water graphic extends across the housing and behind the front grille.

Marshall applies the silicone sleeve design using a water-transfer printing process that ensures no two speakers look identical. The unit includes purple status LEDs and a silver all-seeing eye on the media control button, delivering over a day of playback per charge ahead of its September 9 retail date.

Handcrafted JMH Studio Amplifier Highlights the Collection

For guitarists and collectors, the JMH Studio amplifier serves as the centerpiece of the final release wave, priced at 1,999 euros. Built by hand at Marshall’s factory in Bletchley, England, the amplifier reinterprets the company’s Studio Vintage circuit.
