Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a Materials Handler to join its team in Columbus, Georgia. This role focuses on maintaining inventory, replenishing supplies, and supporting hospital departments to ensure efficient operations. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with relevant experience in a warehouse or storeroom environment being preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains inventory, primarily in inpatient units.
• Replenishes supply carts and issues storeroom supplies.
• Supports nursing units and hospital departments by stocking managed supply locations.
• Ensures supplies are not expired.
• Assists in general storeroom functions.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or a combination of education and directly applicable related work experience is required.
• Experience: No prior experience is required, but relevant experience in a warehouse or storeroom environment, using an electronic inventory management system, or previous healthcare materials management experience is preferred.
• Licenses and Certifications: None required, but a current registration with the state Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician may be required, as applicable.
