Matt Majkrzak Named New Head Coach of NIU Men’s Basketball
DEKALB, Ill. – Northern Illinois University (NIU) officially introduced Matt Majkrzak as the new head coach of the Huskie men’s basketball program on Tuesday, March 24, 2026. The announcement was made jointly by NIU President Dr. Lisa Freeman and Vice President/Director of Athletics and Recreation Sean T. Frazier .
