Cross-Border Operation Recovers Stolen Quad in Poland
The Neubrandenburg Police Department reported that the theft occurred during the night of July 14, 2026, at a dealership located at the corner of Warendorfer Straße and Springer Straße in Waren (Müritz). The stolen gray Outlander quad is valued at approximately 13,000 euros. According to official police reports, the perpetrators used a dark off-road vehicle and a stolen box trailer with a dark green tarp marked “Miet mich” to transport the quad.
Investigators identified promising leads immediately after the crime. The German-Polish police liaison office issued a notification to Polish authorities after evidence suggested the suspects were heading toward the border. Polish police officers intercepted the vehicle, the trailer, and the quad in Plotny, located between Stettin and Kolberg, around 1:00 p.m. on July 15. The three suspects were arrested on the spot, and the stolen property is being prepared for transfer back to Germany.

In Schwerin, a technical defect in a waste transport system caused smoke to fill a shopping center on Grabenstraße on July 15.
