Clara Soares, the French voice actor known for dubbing Millie Bobby Brown’s character Eleven in the hit Netflix series Stranger Things, has relocated her family from Paris to Orléans, according to a report published by La République du Centre on August 2, 2026. Soares lives in the Loiret department with her partner, Jonathan Dos Santos—who also works as a voice actor and artistic director—and their five-year-old daughter, Anya.
Leaving Paris for the Loiret
According to La République du Centre, the family chose to leave the Parisian capital in June 2026 to find a calmer, more secure environment in a city of human scale. Despite the relocation, both artists continue to commute regularly between Orléans and Paris to manage their dubbing schedules and artistic projects.
From YouTube Covers to Professional Dubbing
Soares’s career in voice acting began with a childhood passion for Disney animated films and musical numbers. At age 16, she launched a YouTube channel where she published a French cover of “Partir là-bas” from The Little Mermaid, as reported by La République du Centre. The video drew thousands of views and positive feedback, encouraging her to pursue performance.
Education and Career Choices
Despite her early interest in music and acting, Soares completed academic studies at the Sorbonne, earning a master’s degree in marketing management in 2012, according to La République du Centre. Facing a choice between a corporate marketing career and the entertainment industry, she chose professional acting.
In addition to her role as Eleven in Stranger Things, Soares’s voice work includes voicing Ochaco Uraraka in the anime series My Hero Academia and Fru Fru in the animated film Zootopia 2, as detailed by La République du Centre.
