Megan Moroney’s ‘Cloud 9’ Reaches No. 1 on Billboard 200

Megan Moroney’s album Cloud 9 has reached the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart, dethroning J. Cole’s The Fall-Off. The singer/songwriter expressed her excitement, stating, “Not to be cliche but I’m on cloud 9!”

‘Cloud 9’ and Previous Albums

Cloud 9, which features collaborations with Kacey Musgraves and Ed Sheeran, was released on February 20, 2026. Billboard notes this is Moroney’s third studio album, following 2023’s Lucky and 2024’s Am I Okay?, which peaked at Nos. 38 and 9 on the Billboard 200, respectively.

The success of Cloud 9 coincides with Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” holding the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100. This marks the first time in history that two female country musicians have simultaneously topped both the Billboard 200 and Hot 100 charts.

Moroney is preparing to embark on an arena tour in support of Cloud 9, beginning in May and continuing through early October, with scheduled stops in the United States, Canada, and Europe.
