Publisher Aniplex and developer French-Bread have announced that Melty Blood: Twi-Lumina will become available on April 22, 2027, for PlayStation 5, Switch 2, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam. The release brings refined battle mechanics and a fresh roster to the Tsukihime universe, backed by multilingual support for English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese.
Set within the Tsukihime universe, this upcoming project represents the newest installment in TYPE-MOON’s popular Melty Blood franchise, as noted by publisher Aniplex. The upgraded character cast features returning fighters alongside new additions such as Len. Kinoko Nasu has penned a new tale centered around Shiki Tohno, which tasks players with navigating Souya City while progressing through battles against various characters in the main story.
Platforms and Global Language Support
The cross-generation and multi-platform release strategy covers both current and next-generation hardware. According to Gematsu, the game arrives on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. To accommodate a global player base at launch, Aniplex confirmed that Melty Blood: Twi-Lumina will support eight different language options.
According to Gematsu, the title will be playable at the Tokyo Game Show 2026, which runs from September 17 to 21 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan.
Trailers and Character Reveals
Recent promotional material highlights both combat mechanics and visual updates for the roster. According to Gematsu’s reporting on the release date trailer, battle scenes showcase playable characters including Len, Shiki Tohno, Arcueid, and Ciel, while also revealing a new visual style for White Len illustrated by character designer Takashi Takeuchi.
Additional character showcases have highlighted classic fighters from the visual novel roots of the franchise. Type-Moon Games released a character trailer focusing on Kohaku, one of the twin maids from the Tsukihime visual novel. The footage demonstrates her combat abilities—including wielding a sword hidden inside a broom, calling on strange plants, and dropping fire bombs—while facing off against Shiki.
