Southern California Super Doctors 2026: Recognizing Excellence in Healthcare
Table of Contents
The 2026 Southern California Super Doctors list recognizes the top 5% of active physicians in Los Angeles County. This prestigious report, released on January 8, 2026, highlights outstanding doctors across 22 medical specialties, as nominated by their peers. Super doctors distinguishes leading physicians through a rigorous selection process based on professional achievement and peer recognition.
Peer-Reviewed Selection Process
The Super Doctors selection process begins with a nomination from fellow physicians. Doctors are asked a simple yet powerful question: “If you needed medical care, which doctor would you choose?” This peer-to-peer recommendation forms the foundation of the list. Candidates are then evaluated based on ten indicators of professional achievement, and undergo a “blue ribbon panel review” by physicians in over 40 specialties. Super Doctors emphasizes that this process ensures the physicians named are truly the most respected and talented in their fields.
