Anthony Fresh Commits to Miami University RedHawks for 2026-27 Season
Miami University has announced the addition of Anthony Fresh to its men’s basketball program for the 2026-27 season. The 6-foot-4 guard from Charlestown, Indiana, will join the RedHawks as part of the incoming class under head coach Travis Steele.
High School Career and Achievements
Anthony Fresh attended Charlestown High School in Indiana, where he played under head coach Matt Lynch. During his junior season, he averaged 20.9 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 2.2 steals per game. He shot 60% from the field and 39% from the three-point line that year.
Fresh earned recognition as a 2024-25 MSC All-Conference selection and was named to the 2025 Indiana Junior All-Star team. He also holds his school’s all-time record for most three-pointers made in a single game with nine.
As a team captain in both his junior and senior years, Fresh demonstrated leadership on and off the court. His high school stats have been tracked through MaxPreps, including recent performances such as a 26-point effort against Silver Creek High School on March 7, 2026.

Head coach Travis Steele praised Fresh’s development and potential, noting his growth during summer play with the Midwest Basketball Club on the Adidas 3SSB Circuit.
“Anthony is a young man who really came on strong this past summer while playing for Midwest Basketball Club on the Adidas 3SSB Circuit,” said Steele. “Anthony attends Charlestown High School in Indiana, where he is coached by Matt Lynch. Recognition and Rankings
According to Prep Hoops, Anthony Fresh is rated as the #19 player in Indiana and the #7 shooting guard in his class. His selection as an Indiana Junior All-Star included participation in the annual matchup against the Kentucky Junior All-Stars.

Fresh’s commitment to Miami University was celebrated through official channels, including a video announcement shared by the Miami OH Basketball Facebook page, where he was recognized as an officially signed member of the 2026-27 recruiting class.
