Oregon Men’s Tennis Set for Road Matchup Against Santa Clara
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The University of Oregon men’s tennis team is preparing for its first true road contest of the season, traveling to Santa Clara, California, to face the Santa Clara Broncos on Sunday, February 1st, at 11:00 a.m. PST. The Ducks enter the match with a 6-1 record, while Santa Clara boasts a 3-1 start to their season.
Oregon is coming off a challenging weekend at the ITA Kickoff event in Stanford, where they secured a decisive 4-0 victory over Utah before narrowly falling to Rice with a 4-3 scoreline. This match against Santa Clara marks the beginning of a stretch of non-conference games for the Ducks, who will play three more matches at home before commencing Big Ten conference play in March.
Santa Clara has demonstrated strong early-season form, achieving wins against UC Davis, San Diego state, and Alabama. They also participated in an ITA Kickoff event, experiencing a loss to Mississippi State followed by a 4-2 win against Alabama on Saturday.
